About The Rug
The rug Flowers is based upon the English Garden, it is both painterly and graphic at the same time. Flowers shares the distinctive characteristics of Tord Boontje’s romantic style.
Netherlands-born industrial designer Tord Boontje founded his eponymous studio in London following a master’s at the Royal College of Art. Driven by Boontje’s desire to enhance everyday life through objects that are ‘uplifting to live with’, the studio’s work spans lighting, furniture, graphic identity, ceramics and textiles – often combining the functional with emotive touches of playfulness and whimsy. A number of Boontje’s designs have been introduced into international museum collections, including MoMA and the V&A.
