Organic forms find a natural rhythm in negative and positive space. There are two colour schemes, both extraordinarily rich: deep blue and brown with burnt orange bands, or navy and cream with burnt orange bands.
Netherlands-born industrial designer Tord Boontje founded his eponymous studio in London following a master’s at the Royal College of Art. Driven by Boontje’s desire to enhance everyday life through objects that are ‘uplifting to live with’, the studio’s work spans lighting, furniture, graphic identity, ceramics and textiles – often combining the functional with emotive touches of playfulness and whimsy. A number of Boontje’s designs have been introduced into international museum collections, including MoMA and the V&A.
