Designer

Trevor Cheney was born in Santa Cruz, California and graduated from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena with a BS in Product Design. He has worked in London and Berlin as an industrial designer focusing on furniture and lighting for companies including Muji, Herman Miller, Vitra and Knoll. Upon moving back to LA, he joined Galerie Half, eventually becoming the gallery’s creative director. In 2021, he opened his own gallery, Seventh House, in the Danziger Studio & Residence, designed in 1965 by Frank Gehry. In 2024, he opened a second eponymous gallery located down the block from Seventh House in LA’s Melrose Arts District. Cheney also works as a decorator and design advisor. He currently lives in West Hollywood, CA.
