Biography

Responsible for launching the UK edition of Elle Decoration in 1989, Ilse Crawford is the founder of the legendary design agency Studio Ilse and one of the most influential figures in contemporary British design. Whether developing an interior, a furniture product or a brand identity, Ilse’s mission is to place human experience at the heart of the design process – a philosophy she shares with the emerging creative generation through her role as founder of the Man and Wellbeing department at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
