1 – PLACING AN ORDER
By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
2 – INVOICES & ORDER CONFIRMATION
Your order will be processed upon receipt of deposit. You will receive an invoice and / or an order confirmation by email as soon as you have placed an order. If you do not receive this email please contact info@cfarr.co.uk so that we can resend and confirm that your order has been placed successfully.
3 – PAYMENT
We only accept payments by Bank Transfer. All bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.
For Custom Rugs (Altering the size, colour and material of an existing design):
A 10% non-refundable deposit will be required to customise colours, size and weaving techniques.
A 40% non-refundable deposit will be required to launch the manufacturing process.
+ 50% balance payment before shipping.
For Bespoke Rugs (A unique design, created for the client):
A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required as a Design Fee.
A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required to launch the production process.
+ 50% balance payment before shipping.
4 – PRODUCT SIZE, COLOURS AND FIBRES
Please note all of our products and textiles are handmade and therefore may have minor inconsistencies in colour or weave. Such inconsistencies will not be deemed “faults”. Although ARS colours are used for accuracy, colours can vary slightly to different dye batches. This is an inherent characteristic of all hand-dyed textiles. Edges may also not be straight. Due to variations in computer screens, we cannot guarantee that colours shown on our website are truly representative of our products.
5 – ORDER CANCELLATION / RETURNS / REFUNDS
Custom and bespoke orders are non-refundable or returnable unless there is a production fault with the rug. Our lead times are between 6 to 26 weeks. However, production times are dependent on the size and quality selected for your order and may vary due to our production schedule.
The manufacturing process will start as soon as we receive a 50% deposit.
In the case of an order cancellation after production has begun the 50% deposit will not be refunded.
6 – DAMAGED / FAULTY MERCHANDISE
Any faulty merchandise must be reported to Christopher Farr within 7 days of receipt. All claims must be requested in writing and require manufacturer approval. Following investigate and where appropriate, Christopher Farr will provide a like for like replacement free of charge.
Once cut or installed, rugs with defects/damages will not be accepted for return.
7 – DELIVERY TIMES & CHARGES
Shipping and installation are not included in our prices.
If requested, we will provide you with a quotation. Delivery times are normally 2 to 3 days in the UK and 2 to 7 days outside of the UK. They may vary depending on the type of transport selected and customs clearance.
Rugs not accepted for delivery within 30 days after notification are subject to storage fees.
Christopher Farr is not responsible for delays due to circumstances outside Christopher Farr’s control.
8 – VAT
The standard rate of VAT (20%) will be charged on all invoices unless a valid EU VAT number is supplied from all EEC countries.
All countries outside of the EEC will not be charged VAT on our invoices as they will be required to pay their own VAT rate and duty on import.
