Melissa Kirkpatrick

Biography

Born in Georgia, in the United States, Melissa Kirkpatrick grew up immersed in art, with weekly lessons from her grandmother and gallery trips with her siblings. This early inspiration took her to a degree in printmaking, followed by a move to California to launch a career in design. Kirkpatrick worked in creative positions at a succession of companies, but it was her experience at Smith & Noble that inspired her to launch her own line of fabrics inspired by bright colours and art nouveau designs – the MK Collection – in 2011.
