An exacting artist, Hume saw that a thoughtful examination of the process of rug making, as well as the precise hand-carving of the two circles and rectangles of the design, was necessary in order to produce perfect proportion and tone. The result is a sublimely beautiful one color rug. which at first glance reveals simple geometry and play of light, along with shadows cast by relief elements. Then the fun begins.
